Sadie is a long time blogger associate of mine and she started a new business
selling cool little “Eco Orbies”. She was struggling with a design so she contacted me
to help her out! Since the eco orbies are round the logo was pretty easy to come up with.

Sadie uses WordPress and I used the Adaptation Theme to create her new look.

Jacquelyn spoke to me at an event in NYC about her blog and she wanted a more modern, clean
design.  The colors she chose were coral, pink, grey and white.

I also organized her blog a little bit as well.

I choose to modify the “Simple” Theme provided by Blogger.

Hello to all my Moms out there!! 

It’s that time of year and I have been working behind the scenes cleaning up the dust, clutter and cobwebs! An email was sent out a couple of days ago to a select few regarding their accounts being well overdue. All those that didn’t respond (I said within 24 hours but I actually gave you over 48 hours!) have been closed and your accounts have been deleted from my servers. Sorry but there are no “take backs”…. once deleted/closed you’re gone. I must do this for my business.

Not only am I revamping The Total Package,  I have also done away with a ton of hosting plans. I believe the way I had it set up before was confusing and just silly. I “followed” what other companies were doing and honestly I am NOT a follower, I am my own person, my own company – so I am doing things MY way because that is what I think my moms want! My way is easier, affordable and just makes more sense! I have 4 hosting plans with new prices now – that’s it. That is all I (and you!) need! All existing clients – your prices will remain AS IS. 

Everything has been rearranged and is more organized now.  If you click on the “Order Services” tab at the top of the page, you will see that it now takes you directly to the Hosting Options.  Right above that list you will see links to all my services. I have cut out about 5 links. (YAY!)

What about The Total Package? Well I have been very unhappy with my current Software for my mom’s eStores. There seems to always be a glitch here and/or there, it’s really NOT that secure and I recently found out it’s about 7 yrs. old (outdated!). I spent an entire day, with the help from some other moms (thank you ladies!!), looking for the perfect solution to this dilemma and I believe I have found something PERFECT! The Total Package will be just that – a TOTAL Package including a domain, website, blog AND eStore all in ONE PLACE! As always it will also come with a custom design and some free hosting as well. The price WILL change and I will offer optional upgrades as well. I have a few moms testing out the new Total Package and so far I have gotten RAVE REVIEWS! My hope is to be able to launch the new Total Package on or around June 1, 2012.

If you have the current eStore software – I am going to email all of you in the next couple of weeks with an upgrade offer. 

I AM looking for new servers. I believe I have found the right solution for my business but I need to come up with the funds to move and get all those with the CURRENT eStore software convinced to change before I can move. You see, not only is the current eStore software out of date, it is LOCKED to the current servers. What does that mean? If you (or I) ever leave the current servers, your eStores will NOT work unless you pay to unlock it. To be honest,  I don’t even know what the price is to unlock it and in all honesty it’s time for a change for ALL of us! The upgrade option I will offer to current eStore users will not only be AFFORDABLE, but I promise it will be something you will be happy that you did!

If you have tried to log into your cPanels the past COUPLE OF MONTHS, you may have noticed a nice warning page pop up about it being “insecure”. Technically, it’s really not insecure (or so my tech gal tells me), it just needs reconfigured. I have asked my tech gal to fix this NUMEROUS times with no response and no fix. This is one of the reasons I am moving to a new server. I do NOT want my moms to feel insecure about logging into their own cPanels for a website YOU paid for.

WAHM eCommerce will be undergoing one more design change. Maybe? While I absolutely LOVE this design, I believe I need a more sophisticated look. I want to show that WeC is a serious full service company that caters to work at home moms. The design now, while awesome (and I have gotten a TON of great responses to it – thank you!),  is a bit “cutesy” and not really a site that shows I am serious about what I do.  Plus I use the same design on my sister site, WAHMSha, and the design fits that site better!  I am not sure though – so let’s take a vote! Leave a comment below with your opinion on a design change! 

If you are a “fan” of my Facebook Page, you noticed that I had a nice sale on The Total Package (previous to my decision to revamp it) and only took a certain amount of orders for the month of May.  Due to the high demand of my services, along with a TON of family (health) issues the past year, I have fallen behind on all projects. While this is NOT your fault and I have done EVERYTHING to make sure my moms were aware of what was going on (and I THANK all of my moms for being patient & understanding!), I believe the way I have things set up right now is a perfect solution for everyone. I will now take an X amount of orders PER MONTH to ensure your project is done WITHIN that month! There are no more promises of 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 days etc. I will open up for new orders for ONE WEEK PER MONTH - offer a different sale on a service per month and once I sell that X amount of projects I will close down for the month. The ONLY service that will be available all the time is Hosting Services – no custom design work will be taken once I close down to new orders.

On a side note : If you were a part of the affiliate program, I have temporarily shut it down until I get a better understanding of how it actually works within my system. I don’t like what my billing system offers, so I will be looking into REAL affiliate program for all clients to utilize in the near future.

Well I think that is it for now. I promise to be more interactive (which I have already been doing!) on Facebook and on here as well. I will TRY to do a weekly update on here and post as much as I can on Facebook as well. However, that being said, I will be working more than interacting so if you don’t see me for a day or 2 that is why!

OH! I forgot! Please, I ask that you remember I am a MOM & WIFE before a business owner. I very rarely answers emails on the weekends. While I do practically live on the internet every day I do deserve to take a day or 2 off for myself and my family. Also if you email me anytime after 4pm Eastern time and I don’t answer right away, it is because my kids & husband are home and they need my attention. I ask that you be PATIENT. I can’t always be there at THAT MOMENT to answer you. I can’t tell you how many upset responses I have gotten because I didn’t respond right away. I do NOT believe in “auto-responders” (they are fake and meaningless) – that is what you get from the “big boys” not from WeC (other than a welcome email, confirmation emails etc).  I try to answer everyone’s emails within 3 days of receiving them… also be SURE to check your SPAM folders, especially if you have hotmail, rocketmail and gmail. I do not use a “free” email service for WeC and certain words in my emails may trigger the SPAM gods to throw my email there.

Jacqui contacted me regarding her Blogger and wanted to have a “grown up” blog and get her own

She chose her new logo from Dreamstime and I created her design around that.
